Paul Evans

Sustainable urban designer
Adviser

Paul Evans is an expert on sustainable urban design and energy. Formerly Associate Director with the BRE he is currently Research Manager with English Partnerships, the UK government’s national regeneration agency.

Paul’s work is focused mainly on large development sites [500 residential units plus/mixed use]. In 2006, Paul presented at the Rethinking the City conference in Dublin (Low Carbon Design), speaking about micro-generation and the potential of creating neighbourhood power grids.

Flying in over the city, we are presented with a vast landscape of hard, dead surfaces. Green roofing and other living technologies offer the potential for reclaiming the footprints taken from the Earth as buildings are erected, returning the green.
